Lecture: Skeuomorphism & Visual Metaphors, and what the heck they do in interface design.

So here’s the lecture that came out of last week’s research. I’m open to feedback/criticism & if I got something glaringly wrong, do tell.

The higlight for me was likening the 20th century Modernist architect’s rejection of historicism to Windows 8′s blowing past Apple with its cute little flat rectangle design. Can you believe the Villa Savoye was designed in 1928?!
