Blogging presentation for CBC Radio staff.I’ve been working with CBC Radio on their new arts & culture blog Scene. Yesterday we talked writing for the web.

The blog is staffed by redonculously talented writers & filmmakers, so we can look forward to some amazing hyperlocal coverage of music, books & theatre.

After an hour of coffee-fueled fun, here’s the takeaway on how to rock the blog:

How to blog: have fun.

Easy peasy, right? Go crush it, CBC!

Taking pictures of myself in front of the @CBCManitoba logo. I ALMOST GOT CAUGHT! #dorkless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

Erica nerds it up in front of the CBC gem.Yep, almost got busted making my obligatory me-in-front-of-the-logo shot. Here I am, nerding it up. Not sure I needed to be shy; the warmly intellectual & slightly nutty vibe of CBC Radio makes me suspect self-photography (at least as a form of artistic expression) may even be encouraged.

And here’s filmmaker Jim Agapito—running on 3 hours of under-the-desk we-launch-in-2-weeks sleep—and CBC Radio executive producer Cate Friesen rocking out to a rough cut of (CBC reporter!) Wab Kinew breaking it down Anishinabe-style.
